Here’s How We Helped

Technical Project Management

Challenge: This project had a lot of moving parts, including individual franchisee stores as well as corporate headquarters, to take into account.

Solution: By preparing technical documentation for the entire project and outlining everything that had to be implemented, we eliminated any chance that there would be issues during development. While time-consuming, this made everything from testing to launch go smoothly.

Custom Magento Development

Challenge: Pinch-a-Penny needed a system that would sync products, inventory, and in-store POS systems between franchisees and headquarters. Their 260+ sites for each franchise location needed to be built on one domain, and we imported over 12,000 SKUs.

Solution: We built out a Magento multi-site as well as individual Magento instances for each of their locations to provide the level of integration and customization Pinch-a-Penny headquarters and their franchisees needed. We also built a wholesale site where each franchise can order their inventory.

Inventory & POS Integration

Challenge: Franchisees needed to be able to customize inventories and update pricing specific to their location.

Solution: We synced product names, descriptions and information between the main site and each franchise site while still enabling each franchise site to manage their own inventory and pricing. In addition, we launched and tested all backend integrations to ensure that the backends of each and every website were effectively communicating with the main Magento instance to automatically track and update inventory in real-time as customers placed online orders for in-store pickup at their local store.
